Bade Miyan Chote Miyan box office collection Day 7: Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer fails to hit Rs 50 crore mark; earns Rs 48.20 crore at end of week 1

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, the big-budget Bollywood action flick featuring the dynamic duo of Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, has completed its first week at the box office with a rather lukewarm response from audiences.

Despite coinciding with the extended Eid weekend, the film struggled to lure in the audiences and failed to surpass the Rs 50 crore mark in its debut week. The movie, which saw a promising start with a Rs 40 crore weekend collection, couldn't maintain its momentum during the regular workweek.

Its weekday earnings remained stagnant, with an estimated Rs 2.50 crore collected on Wednesday. According to data from sacnilk.com, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan struggled to break past the Rs 2.50 crore mark on weekdays, indicating a significant drop in audience turnout after the initial hype of its opening weekend.

This, in turn, contributed to the film's total collections to an estimated Rs 48.20 crore nett.

The movie's gross collections, on the other hand, hit the Rs 54 crore mark.

While domestic numbers fell short of expectations, the film managed to fare slightly better on the international front, raking in an estimated Rs 27 crore at the overseas box office. This international performance provided a boost to the overall worldwide collections, pushing the cumulative earnings to an estimated Rs 81.4 crore.

Despite boasting a star-studded cast and a favourable release window, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan faced challenges in sustaining audience interest beyond its opening weekend. The film's inability to breach the Rs 50 crore milestone comes as a shocker to many, considering that it is one of this year's biggest releases. BMCM also had one of the biggest budgets this year, totalling to an estimated Rs 350 crore.
