Mahesh Babu Meets Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain Pat Cummins: 'An Absolute Honour'

Going strong, Sunrisers Hyderabad has so far secured a third-place position in the IPL 2024 points table. Ahead of their upcoming matches, the team received a delightful surprise in the form of a meet-and-greet with Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu. The actor had a special photoshoot with the SRH players in Hyderabad, pictures of which are now going viral on social media. From rubbing shoulders with SRH captain Pat Cummins to sharing a pose with other key players, Mahesh Babu’s latest pictures have got fans’ attention.

The actor took to his Instagram handle to share a couple of photos from the shoot. While the first one features him posing with Pat Cummins, the second one is a group picture with all the players including Mayank Agarwal, Nitish Reddy, Abhishek Sharma, and Rahul Tripathi.

Expressing his excitement upon having the opportunity to meet Cummins, Mahesh Babu wrote, “An absolute honour to meet you @patcummins30! A big fan! Wishing you and the SRH team all the best!!”

Later, the pictures were also shared by the official Instagram handle of Sunrisers Hyderabad. The post shows the actor posing individually with all the players. “SunRisers, Superstar of Telugu cinema, Mahesh Babu,” the caption read. Pat Cummins also shared the picture on his Instagram, calling Mahesh Babu the “Prince of Tollywood.”

While the pictures have already got cricket fans excited, many also couldn’t help but notice the actor’s recent look with long hair.

Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad, which is off to a splendid start this IPL under the captaincy of the Australian skipper, will next play against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Thursday, April 25.

Mahesh Babu’s Work Front

Last seen in Trivikram Srinivas-directed Guntur Kaaram opposite Sreeleela, Mahesh Babu is presently preparing for his next big project with SS Rajamouli. Tentatively titled SSMB 29, the film is expected to hit the floors very soon.

The film’s script has been penned by Rajamouli’s father, and it will be an adventure drama on the lines of Indiana Jones. While interacting with fans during a recent event in Japan, the award-winning director confirmed that he has completed writing the film and will commence pre-production.

“Our main hero is locked. He is Mahesh Babu; he is a Telugu actor,” he added.
