'Aadujeevitham' box office Day 4: Prithviraj's film mints Rs 30 crore in India

Prithviraj Sukumaran's 'Aadujeevitham', which hit theatres last week, raked in Rs 30 crore net in India in four days. The film, which is written, directed and co-produced by Blessy, released in five languages. On Sunday, March 31, the survival drama earned its highest at the domestic box office. 'Aadujeevitham', also known as 'The Goat Life' in English, was one of the most anticipated films from the Malayalam film industry. The film is being appreciated for Prithviraj's excellent performance and its technical brilliance.

'Aadujeevitham' released in theatres on March 28 amid massive anticipation. Prithviraj revealed that he and Blessy had been dreaming about the film for 16 years. On Sunday, March 31, the film is said to have raked in Rs 8.50 crore in India, its highest since release. 

This takes the four-day total collection of 'Aadujeevitham' to Rs 30.10 crore net in India. The Malayalam (original) version of the film recorded an occupancy of 79.92 per cent on March 31.

For the unaware, 'Aadujeevitham' is based on writer Benyamin's novel of the same name. It is about Najeeb, a Malayali immigrant labourer, who is forced into slavery in a secluded farm in the deserts of Saudi Arabia. Prithviraj Sukumaran played the role of Najeeb in the film.

Apart from Prithviraj, the film also features Jimmy Jean-Louis, KR Gokul, Talib Al Balushi, Amala Paul and Shobha Mohan in pivotal roles. 'Aadujeevitham' is jointly produced by Visual Romance Image Makers, Jet Media Production and Alta Global Media. Composer AR Rahman, editor Sreekar Prasad and cinematographer KS Sunil form the technical crew.
