Australia defeated India in the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 to win their sixth title. India qualified for the summit clash undefeated, however, the Aussies outplayed them on the big day. Travis Head scored a stunning century to help Australia chase 240 with six wickets to spare.

After the World Cup win, an Australian media page wrote an insulting and derogatory post, 'South Australian Man Gives Birth To World Record 11 Sons' on Team India. The post was liked by Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell and former captain Aaron Finch.

Reportedly, the Australia captain Pat Cummins also liked the post but disliked it after it went viral. The post has now gone viral and Indian fans are not amused by the act.

Speaking about the World Cup final, Australia bowled out India for 240 runs. Mitchell Starc bagged three wickets while Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood picked two wickets each. For India, Rohit Sharma gave the team a great start and played a crisp innings of 47. However, his wicket triggered a collapse. KL Rahul scored 66 and Virat Kohli made 54 but India could only post 240.

Indian bowlers came out all guns blazing with the ball and reduced Australia to 47-3 before Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne stitched a 192-run stand for the fourth wicket. Head was out for 137 while Labuschagne stayed unbeaten on 58.

Meanwhile, Australia and controversy go hand in hand. Recently, a huge controversy erupted after an image of Mitchell Marsh keeping his feat on the World Cup trophy went viral.
