AABHA 2019, organized by Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Management Studies and Research, Nagpur, was a fun and interactive ingenuity for better health and fitness amongst the women. DAIMSR had been conducting AABHA under Women Empowerment Cell and Internal Complaints Committee of the college. This year, a Yoga and Zumba session was organized to focus on sustaining a healthy headspace and maintaining a fitness drive amongst the women.

The event kicked off with Miss Simran Garewal, a certified Yoga Teacher, who filtered the room with her positive aura and taught the irrevocable benefits of Yoga and Pranayama. She also addressed the different ways Yoga can be useful, especially to maintain a good balance of mindfulness in our daily lives.

The next session was taken over by Mrs. Sangeeta Pugalia, a certified fitness trainer, who filled the room with her zany energy, while her Zumba routine was lauded by everyone present in the room. She also engaged the audience with an interactive question and answer session where she addressed various queries on healthy diets, incorporating exercising in day-to-day flow, and keeping fitness as a long-term goal for lasting benefits.

Last but not the least, Mrs Shende from KRIIMS had a lively discussion on women’s uterine health, ranging from precautions and preventions for a generalize approach towards awareness and well-being.

Event coordinator and organizer Dr.Rashmi Gupta states “The key objective of the event was to highlight that fitness does not mean toiling in the gym, instead, fitness can be derived from activities that are both fun and enjoyable.” The event was also co-organized by Prof Pallavi Badre, Prof. Chetna Soni and Dr. Ruhi Bakhare. Students also actively participated in the smooth execution of the event.
