Amazon delivery boys arrested for misappropriation of parcels worth 7.63 lakhs

Ganeshpeth police arrested five delivery boys working at Amazon, for the misappropriation of parcels worth Rs 7.63 Lakh. 
The accused have been identified as Akash Govindrao Nimje(24), Harshal Jageshwar Atram(24) both residents of Panchpaoli, Naresh Kadu(32) resident of Jaripatka, Yashwant Shikharam Dharmik(21), resident of Shanti Nagar and Rupesh Sudhakar Sawarkat(25), a resident of itwari.
These accused were working with a logistic company Dependo hired by Amazon to deliver ordered products to the customers. The team leader of  dependo logistics Pvt ltd, Bhojraj Makde, a resident of Kalamna has filed a compaint in which he stated that 'The accused worked as delivery boys under him, As Amazon allows return of ordered products, the accused used to pick the products from customers and allegedly kept those with them. They would send other cheap articles back to Amazon. This crime was committed during November 2, 2018 to November 26, 2018. When Amazon examined the returned products, then the truth came out. 
On the basis of the complaint filed by makde, A team of Ganeshpeth police comprising HC Prakash, HC Virendra, NCP Nishikant, NPC Sachin, PC Romesh under the supervision of DCP (Zone III) Rahul Maknikar, ACP Rajratna Bansod and senior PI Sunil Gangurde arrested the accused on the charges under sections 406, 420, 120b and 34 of the Indian Penal code.
