India Paris Olympics Medals: Full List Of Results For Indian Athletes On August 1

India have had a successful campaign on Day 6 i.e August 1 (Thursday) at the Paris Olympics 2024. The country clinched its third medal this year, once against from shooting. On the other hand, there were disappointments all around in hockey, boxing and shooting as well, with many medal contenders failing to qualify for the next round. There are many badminton stars in contention too, and their victory could end the day for India on a satisfactory note.

India won their fourth medal at the Paris Olympics 2024 when Swapnil Kusale clinched the bronze medal in the men's 50m rifle three positions event. He started off slowly, but made a brilliant comeback in the final round, to finish in the bronze medal spot. He now clinches India's third bronze medal in shooting after Manu Bhaker in the women's 10, air pistol, and the pair of Manu Bhaker-Sarabjot Sigh in the mixed team 10m pistol event.

It was disappointment for one of India's top medal contenders in boxer Nikhat Zareen as she lost in the quarter-final against China's Wu Yu. On the other hand, Sift Kaur Samra and Anjum Moudgil too got knocked out in the women's 50m three positions air rifle category.

The Indian men's hockey team also suffered their first loss at the Paris Olympics where they were defeated in a closely fought contest against reigning gold medallists Belgium.

One of India's biggest medal hopes, the men's doubles pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, also crashed out of the Paris Olympics 2024 after a defeat in the quarter-final.
